Arrest Made In Vandalism Attack On Tucson Synagogue

An arrest has been made in connection with the vandalism attack on a Tucson synagogue. Nathan Beaver was identified as the suspect and charged with Aggravated Criminal Damage.

According to the Tucson Police Department, on June 7, 2021, at approximately 8:26 a.m. officers responded to a report from the Chabad on River Synagogue located at 3916 E. Ft. Lowell Rd. in regards to a vandalism call.

When officers arrived they found graffiti on the building in the form of a swastika and anti-Semitic slur.

The Tucson Police Department Street Crimes Interdiction Unit that handles all hate/bias-based crimes was contacted and responded to continue the investigation.

On the afternoon of June 24, 2021, the 30-year-old Beaver was located and taken into custody in the area of N. 1st Ave. and E. Roger Rd.

Beaver was booked into the Pima County Jail.
