Two men are in custody, who are believed to have kidnapped and assaulted a man on Saturday, June 26th, 2021, in the Cordes Lakes area.
According to the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office, the two suspects, 34-year-old Dustin Wesley Mountain and 26-year-old Joshua Paul Halliburton, came to the victim’s home and threatened him, forcing him into their car and drove him to another location. There they threatened the victim several more times and beat him.
In the commission of the apprehension of Dustin Mountain on July 3, 2021, according to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies also arrested multiple others suspected of several crimes such as false reporting (lying to an officer), and drug possession.
