Teen Murdered In Car, Riding With Mother, Brother In West Phoenix

Francisco Sanchez, age 23, is in custody after murdering 17-year-old Eunice Rodriguez, in Phoenix on Friday morning. Sanchez was booked on murder and kidnapping charges.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers were called to the area of 43rd Avenue and Indian School at about 1:00 a.m., in response to reports of a shooting.

Eunice’s mother, Eunice Despaigne, was driving in the area with her two children when she saw a man in the roadway. She stopped her vehicle and the man, later identified as Sanchez, approached the vehicle and shot Eunice who was sitting in the front passenger seat.

Sanchez fled the scene and threatened another woman nearby.
