Colorado will be the first in the tours of book author Joseph DiLeonardo’s campaign to honor Vietnam War Vets. Fifty years ago, the United States escalated the scale of combat in Vietnam and commenced one of America’s major wars.
The tour will commence with an event at Elbert County, Colorado, the author’s home. The date, time, and location will be publicly announced later. It is DiLeonardo’s intention to incorporate Vietnam veterans in each stop and allow them to recount their experiences and express their feelings.Those tour stops that are hosted by veteran groups will be given donations for any books that are sold at the event. Each event will include a presentation by the author, comments by veterans, and a printed survey/comments sheets for all who attend. Author will sign and donate a portion of the book sales to the hosting veterans group.
