Alleged Drunk Driver Shot After Hitting 6 Bike The Bluff Cyclists Head On

At Bike the Bluff, Arizona’s State Championship Bike Race, a man driving an F-150 struck a several racers at 7:25 a.m. today, sending six to the hospital, four with critical injuries.

According to the Show Low Police Department, the driver was allegedly driver intoxicated and crossed multiple lanes of traffic to hit the racers head on.

Show Low Police personnel report that seven victims were taken to the hospital, including one who was transported via air. Of the other six, four are in critical condition and two are in critical but stable condition, police said. Another two or three victims were walk-ins at the hospital and are in stable condition, police said.
The suspect, described as a 35-year-old Caucasian male is also in critical but stable condition.
