Can one just gamble a billion dollars risking a big amount to enhance science and technology at present? Yes, the science agency of the United States happened to make a big move. Fortunately, the investment is now paying off. There are discoveries made about the black hole. There are some more discoveries about the exotic stars which come up every week. When the three physicists happened to share the Nobel Prize for making the work possible, there is one amongst them saying that the real hero is the former staffer of the national science foundation named Rich Isaacson. He happened to see some beautiful chances to have amazing researches and even took the chance of risking a whole lot of things.
They again stated that this was a mere miracle. They added that he is a real hero, and there is a few recognition that is given to these people. He happened to fight this war singularly, and he deserves all the credits. Weiss says that without Rich, they would have been killed virtually on every single topic. Rich and his Laureate have now donated their sums to a brand new physical society award in the honor Issacson.
This story happens to set in the year 1960. Issacson was a doctoral student, and once what happened was he got interested in one of the predictions of Albert Einstein. Einstein happened to theorize that when two massive objects get crushed together, then here is a huge shock that moves all through the fabric of the Universe. These forces of gravitation wave through space and time are like those of the ripples that are found in the water while tossing a stone in the water.
Rich stated that to claim the thesis; he would require the forces of gravitation to behave like those of the X-rays and light or radar. The calculations e made showed that the waves are surely not some mathematical, but they are something that can be measured as well. This exactly showed how the thesis of Einstein worked. This was correct, and this can just not be disputed. Isaacson was quite optimistic. He imagined that anytime in his career, he would surely reach to this point, and this drive is responsible for all that is there.
He just did not see that this would give him the peak of his career. He wanted a major amount of funding so that this crazy idea can be pursued. Most people tried to resist him by giving very negative statements. The technology was too hard, as well. Above all, no one had ever imagined in the wildest dreams that the gravitation waves could also be so strong to be measured like that. Weiss says that proposal would have surely been killed on arrival but, this was not the case with Rich. He saw the potential and developed a crazy curiousness to work on it.
