Recently, Samsung has confirmed about the reports that were rounding up from some days about the postponing of the release of all new Samsung Galaxy Fold smartphone. Today in a statement by Samsung, it said that the company wants customers to get the best kind of experience after they get the smartphone. So, in the initial feedback, it has now decided to delay the release of the category-changing Galaxy Fold to make sure that this smartphone meets the expectations of the customers.
Earlier, Samsung has all set to release this Samsung Galaxy Fold which was scheduled on 26th April 2019. With this release, this was going to become the first foldable OLED display phone. But all these things got derail as the foldable smartphone got some issues with the screen. In the demo samples that were provided by the company to reporters for review, it was seen that due to the removal of thin plastic film over the screen, the screen starts to get cracking. After this only, the company has stated not to remove it and postpone its releases.
According to the Wall Street Journal, it reported that the Fold would not be hitting the shelves till May. But now, it is seen that in the email to the customers, it said that the customers who all have pre-ordered the Samsung Galaxy Fold could expect a revised update on the shipping details in next two weeks.
All these things started to comes up after the company has faced about the durability of the Galaxy Fold. Earlier, many review units have failed in quick succession as there are some issues present in the displays. It is seen that there are some units which are broken after the customers wrongly thought that the protective layer was a screen protector and pulled them off the screen.
On Monday, in a statement from the company, it said that the company is now doing an investigation about it. In the initial finding after reviewing the issues on the display screen, it found out that the screen may get crack due to the impact on the top and bottom of the area. Another thing that comes up during the investigation is the substances that are founded inside the device is said to be affected the display performance.
In an added statement from the company, it said that the company would be taking some good measures to strengthen the display protection and they may go for some kind of re-engineering of the hardware itself. Samsung already said to its customers that all the preorders that they have done are in the queue for the innovative technology.
When the company was asked about how to spread awareness about this, the company said that they are coming up with proper guidance about the function of the thin protective layer that is present over the screen and will properly convey the message to all its customers for not to remove that layer from the screen so that they can fold the screen without breaking it.
