Yuma County Sheriff Looking For Owner Of Pig Found In San Luis Walmart Parking Lot

The Yuma County Sheriff's Office is looking for the owner of this pig. Is it yours?

YUMA. AZ. – The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office is looking for the owner of a found pig.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, on Thursday, July 1, 2021, at approximately 3:00 AM, the Sheriff’s Office Livestock Unit received a call of a loose pig in the Walmart parking lot in San Luis, AZ. San Luis Animal Control officers were able to secure the pig and transfer custody to the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office Livestock Unit.

The pig is described as a black, possible potbelly, pig and appears to be in good health. The pig is currently under the supervision of the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office Livestock Unit.

If the pig remains unclaimed, it will be turned over to the Arizona Department of Agriculture within 7 days after the date of this release.
