One woman was shot and injured and two women suffered injuries from shrapnel after a shooting at the Zuma Grill on Mill Avenue near University Drive.
Tempe Police were called to the scene just before 1:00 a.m. on Saturday in response to reports of a shooting.
Police learned that 22-year-old Lazerik Winfield fired two shots inside the bar. He tried to escape, but was intercepted by a Zuma Grill security guard.
The woman who was shot was taken to a hospital with serious injuries to her leg. She is expected to survive.
Winfield was arrested is being charged into jail for aggravated assault.
