Mostly Younger Adults Are Suffering From Colorectal Cancer

Previously, colorectal cancer was diagnosed to be a chronic health condition in older adults above the age of 50. But, to recent detection of health concentration, scientists have paved out a new table that colorectal cancer is tending to move in opposite direction in patients of 20s and 30s.

However, the data traced from national cancer registries in Canada backs the finding of this new result. The findings suggest that the colorectal cancer is more in younger adults than in older adults. The rate of this chronic health condition is increasing day by day. The epidemiologist and lead author at the University of Calgary explains it. He that instead of declination in the rate of this cancer in younger adults rather it is elevating day by day.

Colorectal Cancer Increases By 3.47% Between 2006 And 2015

Under the age of 50, the figures of colorectal cancer have increased by 3.47% between the year 2006 and 2015. And, between the years 2010-2015, the rate of colorectal cancer has increased in younger adults by 4.45 percent. In Canada, the rate of this particular cancer has reduced in older adults. But it is a sight of concern in the younger adults. To detect this cancer, colonoscopies detect it even before the colon polyps remove.

The reason behind colorectal cancer being prevalent in younger adults might be present lifestyle that the millennial generation is living in. The risk cancer infliction for the present generation to hit by 50s is more than their parents. Poor diets that are low in fiber will tend you to get colorectal cancer. Obesity is another health condition that will push you to undergo cancer either in colon or in rectum.
