Almost all the people look up to the sky and gaze the moon. But there is a nice update for the moon-gazers, and that is the full moon of this month is about to be a pink one. The moon will appear to be a larger one than the average full moon seems. This is so because the moon will be at the nearest point on the orbit of the earth at an average.

The name suggests that the moon will be of a certain color, but that is not true. The moon is named after the wild ground phlox which is one of the earliest spring flowers. The American names the moon in this way so that they can keep up with their schedule of harvest. The moonlight will appear in red or orange color. This is predicted just because of the huge amount of smoke, ash, and haze present in the sky. The next full moon is about to appear on the 18th of May.

The full moon of the April month will appear in morning 7:12 a.m. This will be a super moon day where the earth’s natural satellite will be at really the nearest place to the earth. This will appear quite a larger one than that of the normal full moons. The super moons occur when the full moon coincides with the perigee. But the major difference is that the size for the super satellites are also too small and those can only be observed with the careful observers.

In the United States, the east coast people are told to observe the moon at 8 p.m. and the very next morning; the moon will set at 7 a.m. This is in accordance to statement of the US Naval Observatory. The moon will be in the Virgo constellation. This is something quite obvious that the moon shines by reflecting the light of the sun until and unless the moon is in the shadow of the earth which is how the lunar eclipse occurs.

There will be no eclipse in April rather that is calculated to occur in July. On July there will be a partial eclipse. The partial eclipse will not be visible in North America. The distance of the moon from the earth keeps on varying and this is so because the orbit is not at all a perfect circle. The apparent diameter of the moon will appear smaller to the careful observers as the size difference is too small.

Through the use of the binoculars or a small telescope. The full moon appears to be quite a bright light, and this can even be difficult to glare at. Unlike observing the sun, observing the sun, the full moon is of no danger to be seen with the necked eyes. The pink moon is hence all set to illuminate the world on the 18th. The big moon will be brighter and bigger than the usual size.
